Yoga With a Twist

Twists act on the body as a strengthening and cleansing tool, and when they’re done well they service the entire spine. The trunk muscles and digestion in particular benefit. In Kim’s Fall Seasonal Workshop, on twists, you will:

  • Identify how the legs and hips work together to make standing twists challenging but enjoyable.

  • Use leg and hip stability to activate the abdominals to do their built-in job of supporting the trunk in all movements but especially in the twisting action.

  • Learn to breathe steadily in twisting poses, which increases their overall benefit.

This workshop is appropriate for all levels except totally new yoga beginners! Come take two hours to explore strength and twisting poses through Kim's approach.

Everything But the Kitchen Sink: A Pop-up

There’s no reason not to think of yoga at home as something that’s fun and engaging. It’s an activity that can easily replace screen time or other, less productive things you could do with 15 minutes in the morning or evening. Use this pop-up to:

  • Learn to look at various parts of your home (chair, kitchen counter, bedroom wall) as a yoga prop

  • Learn to do your favorite pose at home, your way

  • Commit to one pose, any pose, at home, to help you establish a yoga practice outside the studio.

Description from YogaWorks: This powerful and effective flow fusion class is a hybrid of yoga and core strengthening moves. Our core is our center physically, emotionally, and mentally. Stoking the fire in our belly, creating strong abs and a strong spine is vital to being healthy. Planks and all kinds of ab and spine strengthening moves will stimulate the prana in your navel center. Focus is on deep abdominal work along with upper and lower body strengthening and lengthening. This class is an excellent complement to your regular yoga practice. It is not heated.
