Summer is the time to understand how forward folds help both the mind and the body. With the body sustaining high heats, the mind and emotions can also get heated. Forward folds balance this heat through stable, strong legs that create and hold space for a long, extended spine that allows the forehead to rest and the diaphragm to stay open. In this workshop you will learn:
- How to straighten your legs and why it is important to do do
- To identify and manage your own cravings, aggression, and depression as they manifest clearly in forward folds
- How to balance forward momentum and stillness (grounding)
This workshop is appropriate for all but students totally new to yoga.
